Suspect in Double Slaying Claims Self Defense in Court
Abdiyyah ben Alkebulanyahh Roberts 20 and Monica DeJesus 24 faced two murder counts for the killings of Lance Cpl. Dana Lyle Tate 44 and Cpl. Dyke A J Coursen 35 during a domestic call. Roberts claimed self defense as he appeared in a hospital gown with hip and shoulder wounds. Authorities said no legal name change was in effect and a prior marijuana distribution conviction of Roberts dated to 1997.

Worker’s death ruled accidental in pipe incident
The death of 27 year old worker Charles Glen Roseneau of Lexington was ruled an accident from blunt force trauma to the head. He was at B E Shaw Inc when a pipe fell on him. Investigations by the State Law Enforcement Division, the Sheriff’s Office, OSHA, and Shaw are underway.
