Beech Island woman charged with attempted murder
Stephanie Moment, 28, of Old Magnolia Lane, faces two counts of attempted murder and weapon charges after a Jan 1 incident on Storm Branch Road Beech Island. Deputies say she slashed a juvenile and struck the juvenile's mother with a vehicle front bumper causing serious injuries. Moment was jailed in Aiken County.

Augusta woman charged with setting fire to home
Emily Coatney, 39, was charged with second degree arson after a North Augusta house fire at 109 Frances Drive around 3:08 p.m. No injuries were reported. Coatney was located at a Papa John’s on Edgefield Highway and detained. The investigation remains ongoing.
