In Tifton Georgia Bill Branch has developed the disease resistant Georgia Green peanut variety introduced in 1995. It now dominates Southeastern plantings and resists tomato spotted wilt virus, helping farmers during drought years and boosting yields to about 2800 pounds per acre in Georgia.
