Aiken Kennel Club Field Trials Set for January 14 15

Aiken and surrounding towns anticipate the annual Field Trials by the Aiken Kennel Club to be held on George Croft's plantation near the city. Fire Destroys Ol Warehouse in Southern States Co Loss

Fire destroyed a warehouse of the Southern States Company on Tuesday morning around 4:80. o clock. The blaze endangered several hundred thousand dollars in tanks and nearby structures but a wind shift helped save portions of the plant. Automobile Wreck Near City Limits

A serious crash occurred last Thursday night on the Columbia Aiken road just beyond the city limits. W E Duncan driving his bulkest collided with a Ford driven by S E Wood of the Postal Telegraph Co. Piincais was badly injured, the machine wrecked. J L McCarter and J P Kerr were traveling with Depean and escaped injury. Ror suffered a small abrasion on the heel tip from being knocked against the car top. The collision stemmed from an error in gauging distance in the dark.
