Burial Shrine Honors Williams Family in Pea Monettta
In Monetta peach country two sisters created a burial plot that serves as a shrine to five generations of the Williams family. Twin granite blocks flank an eight foot walk to a theater area beside a wall, with a ship cannon, a bell from the USS Reprisal, and a bronze marker for Yancy Sullivan Williams, a Naval officer buried at Arlington. The monument honors relatives who served in all wars from 1898 to 1953 and bears an epitaph about time and enduring love.
