New Ellenton to study partially completed sewer system

An engineering firm will study how much of New Ellenton’s $5.0 million sewer project is actually in the ground as investigations continue. The $45k to $50k study will use remaining funds and take about six weeks, starting next week. Mayor Arthur J. Hanna says city records lack built drawings and former officials are scrutiny targets.

In the Clearwater shooting that killed 16 year old Jack Morris Jr. near a Hardee parking lot, Matthew Young 19 of Fort Augusta faces murder charges after a brief dispute with the victim. A 15 year old and Gary Adams Jr. 17 were taken into custody on weapons and theft charges.

Robberies Hit North Augusta and Aiken Areas
