Aiken Police report burglary at Fred W. King home on Hall Drive with weapons including two shotguns and a .22 revolver and a fur jacket missing valued around 600 dollars. Another break in in Belvedere involved 2300 dollars in clothing linens appliances and a television as thieves pried open a window. Detective V J Ray urged owners to record weapon serial numbers.
Apollo 12 moonwalker Alan Bean has been grounded and forbidden to fly airplanes for administrative reasons. A Space Center spokesman said details would be released later and Bean declined to comment.
