Judge sets no bond for Carter
Accused murderer Stephen Carter, 19, appeared for a bond hearing at the Aiken County detention center but no bond was set because life in prison is possible. Carter is charged with the murder of Master Public Safety Officer Scotty Richardson and the attempted murder of Officer Travis Griffin. The judge ordered no contact with the victims and noted bond could be sought in General Sessions court. Carter has circuit court dates on March 9 and June 1.
