Aiken police arrested 24 year old Aaron Carter of Abbeville Avenue on armed robbery charges tied to Monday's SRP Federal Credit Union branch heist at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Investigators traced leads to a motel on Highway 19 near Interstate 20. The suspect remains in custody as detectives pursue a pattern linking two other weekend robberies in the area. Carter is accused of placing stolen cash in a Burger King bag during the credit union robbery.
