Waldrop Switches to Republican Party in South Carolina

Lexington County escapee captured in Gaston

Deputies captured Dennis Evan Dykes, 19, at his Gaston home after he escaped Lexington County Detention Center. Dykes slipped from a line of inmates after the evening meal and cleared a perimeter fence. He had been held on grand larceny and breaking into an automobile charges with a $7,000 bond since December 12.
