Wagener Man Killed as Wife Is Charged with Murder

A Wagener man died Friday from gunshot wounds to the head and his wife, Gladys Adams, was charged with murder. The shooting followed a domestic argument at their home. Funeral services will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home. The victim, Henry E. Adams, was a Jamaica native who lived in Wagener most of his life. He left four sons and other relatives.

Ice Covers Landscape as Weather W Arms Up

Aiken County woke to trees and shrubs coated with ice as an ice storm began around 3 a.m. Bridges were slippery and drivers cautioned. Jody Clark 17 Dies In Wreck Near Aiken

Aiken youth Jody Michael Clark 17 died Saturday at University Hospital after a car driven by 15 year old Michael Smathers left the road and struck two parked trucks near Watkins Grocery on SC 19. Passenger Earl Dewitt Roberts 17 suffered a broken leg and facial lacerations while Smathers had a broken arm and no license. Funeral services are set for Millbrook Baptist Church with burial at Aiken Memorial Park.
