Victims named include Michael Fanta 17 Ronald Fanta 16 Theresa Fanta 13 Kevin and Kenneth Fanta 1 plus an unidentified woman severely burned.
Puerto Rico's new governor Romero, sworn in amid a struggling economy and mass displacement, omits any mention of Ford's statehood proposal in his inaugural address. He tells AP that reviving the island economy is his first priority and defers the statehood issue.

A Wagener man died Friday from gunshot wounds to the head and his wife, Gladys Adams, was charged with murder. The shooting followed a domestic argument at their home. Funeral services will be announced by Robinson Funeral Home. The victim, Henry E. Adams, was a Jamaica native who lived in Wagener most of his life. He left four sons and other relatives.
Graduate registration at USC Aiken originally scheduled for today was postponed due to bad weather. Registration will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the campus.
Incoming Aiken County Council members are sworn in during brief ceremonies as about 60 friends and relatives look on. The event featured remarks by Rev. Dr. Joseph L. Usry and acknowledgments from officials including Sen. Gilbert E. McMillan and Judge Carl M. Hair.

Aiken youth Jody Michael Clark 17 died Saturday at University Hospital after a car driven by 15 year old Michael Smathers left the road and struck two parked trucks near Watkins Grocery on SC 19. Passenger Earl Dewitt Roberts 17 suffered a broken leg and facial lacerations while Smathers had a broken arm and no license. Funeral services are set for Millbrook Baptist Church with burial at Aiken Memorial Park.
