Charleston Father Charged in Sexual Assault of Daughters
A 70-year-old Charleston man faces three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor for abusing three daughters over a 13 year span ending in 1980. He is held without bail on one charge and $200,000 bail on the other two, ordered not to contact girls under 17 and to attend counseling. The daughters, now in different states, testified that abuse began as young as age 4 and 6. Their mother allegedly faced disbelief and accusations of drunkenness when reporting the abuse. The suspect denied paternity when questioned by the court.
