Williston Elko students prep for SC ProStart invitational
Williston on Main Street hosts four Williston-Elko High School culinary students under teacher Victoria Blackstone as they practice for the South Carolina ProStart Invitational in North Charleston. Senior Daquann Barrett and Javeon Milledge lead the team with Rachael Brown and Shaniya Williamson as alternates, aiming to showcase dishes like bacon-wrapped scallops and chicken piccata while gaining college and culinary program exposure. Barrett envisions a career at The Culinary Institute of America and Milledge plans culinary business study at Greenville Technical College, reflecting months of focused prep and hands on experience.
