New Website Showcases Aiken TOYs Through April
The Aiken County Public School District will feature a different school's teacher of the year daily on a new site through mid April. First up is Clearwater Elementary’s Anna Beth Harbeson, who shares insights about laughter, sleep, heroes, and her goal that students learn to never give up. She notes her students are “the light of my life” and cites astronaut dreams and mac and cheese as favourites. A centenarian in Aiken County Muriel Pritchard turns 100
Muriel Pritchard of Hammond House celebrated her 100th birthday on February 25 at the facility where she once led a weekly exercise class. A Rochester native who moved to South Carolina in 2008, she worked as a bookkeeper for Sibley’s and later a secretary for a lawyer. Her family includes four granddaughters and one great grandson.

Russian Ballet Festival at Newberry Opera House
