Alyson Fuchs, a nine year old, was ordered to appear for jury duty at Brooklyn Supreme Court. She was warned of a $1000 fine or jail for failure, but clerks explained she must wait until age 18 to serve. Her mother, Gail Fuchs, recalled the mix up and Alyson lamented missing jury pay of $40 a day.
