Prince Philip visits Pitcairn Islands in royal tour

Mendel Davis won the Democratic nomination in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District upsetting three veterans. He carried all but one of nine counties amid Rivers influence and will face two rivals in the April runoff for the Rivers seat. Hospital To Share In Duke Funds
The Aiken County Hospital is among 58 South Carolina hospitals and 16 child care institutions to share a $648 860 appropriation from the Duke Endowment. Administrator Sam Nesbit said the hospital will receive $5 946. Aid is provided as $1 per day of free care reported for the fiscal year ended Sept 30 1970.
