Aiken Choral Society Day celebrated with festival
Aiken City Council designates the first Saturday in March as Aiken Choral Society Day to honor the group’s 1951 roots and 1971 premiere, marking a March 4 festival at the Aiken Center for the Arts with music, art, and a first release of the ACS compact disc Petite Messe Solennelle. The event features Antoine Cordahi, harpist Vonda Carr, liturgical readings, and proceeds support gallery exhibits and a silent auction. Tickets range from 10 to 80 dollars, with advance sales at multiple local venues.
