Augusta edged USCA 3 2 in a tight baseball game as the decisive run crossed in the final inning. Pitching by both sides kept scoring low and the crowd remained engaged through extra frames.
Aiken County Public Works Director Alvin Bryan said heavy weekend rains damaged about six to eight dirt roads and forced patching for most of the week. The decision follows a rate increase for Good Cents homes and replaces discounts with flat monthly amounts for new and upgraded homes. A study by an outside consulting firm will review rates and customer arrangements will be handled individually.
