The Empire State Run-Up winner was Al Waquie of New Mexico who finished from lobby to 86th floor in 11 minutes 26.13 seconds. He defeated 51 runners for his fourth victory in nine years, noting the air was cleaner up high and describing the climb as the roughest part being the start.
