Aiken County eyes RFQ for Whiskey Road corridor project
Aiken County Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to consider a resolution authorizing County Administrator Clay Killian to issue a request for qualifications for engineering services to plan improvements along Whiskey Road. The move aims to address stormwater drainage and develop funding partnerships with the City of Aiken New Ellenton and SCDOT. The consent agenda also includes land easements for a new intersection near Aiken Technical College a road to Langley Pond and design work for a northeast Aiken magistrate office building. Public hearings cover incentives for Solar LLC projects and a rezoning near Glenwood Drive.
