Graniteville Co executive Bill Johnson urges restraint while noting China’s growing cotton exports and a 129 percent rise in textile shipments. a separate China pact and an export promotion plan are in process.
February weather tightened its grip on Aiken County with freezing rain and ice. Schultz Hill West Martintown Road and Kalmia Hill in North Augusta and Aiken were listed as problem spots for slipping traffic, though no major accidents were reported.
