Urban Outfitters will close its Ecommerce Fulfillment Center in Trenton resulting in about 485 layoffs. The company plans to relocate operations to a new one-million-square-foot e commerce facility in Gap, Pennsylvania.
Will Williams of the Aiken Economic Development Partnership lamented the loss of 485 jobs as Urban Outfitters plans to close its 459,000 square foot Trenton ecommerce facility. The center will begin transitioning out in mid June and be fully closed by September 2015, with efforts to find a replacement occupant starting immediately.

Aiken County Council will hear a 6 p.m. work session presentation by resident Jane Page Thompson on a proposed Honor Park and Memorial Garden for first responders. The plan centers a central column with an eagle, brick wall with plaques, flags, and a biblical verse, honoring 19 fallen officers.
