Exiled Palestinian student kills two deans at Beirut university
A Palestinian student expelled for radical activity killed two deans at the American University of Beirut. Dean of Students Robert Najemy, 54, born in Worcester, Mass., and Dean of Engineering Raymond Ghosn, 55, were shot at close range. The assailant Najim Najim, a former engineering student, held officials for three hours before surrendering to army commandos and was wounded by a friend during detainment.
