Aiken Standard Wins Public Service Award Again

The Aiken Standard received the state Public Service Award for its coverage of the Aiken County Community Action Agency. Executive Editor Robert D. Cathcart accepted the honor at a Saturday gala in Columbia. Reporter Lin Smithwick earned the Judson Chapman award for community service for articles on the agency, and staff photographer Murry Sill won third place in sports photography.
