Max Cleland's Vietnam Memoir By Max Cleland
A personal account of Cleland's Vietnam service and recovery from severe injuries. The narrative covers his ROTC days at Stetson, time with the First Air Cavalry, the Khe Sanh mission that cost him an arm and both legs, and his subsequent career in Georgia politics and public service. His message: wars linger in veterans' lives and a nation must commit to its troops.
