Aiken DPS Reports Multiple Local Fraud and Burglary Incidents
Aiken residents reported scams involving a fake million dollar prize and fraudulent credit card charges. Officers found a damaged 42 inch Toshiba TV in bushes on Richland Avenue and investigated thefts of air conditioner units on Greenwich Drive. A burglary occurred on Stone Drive with a window entry attempt. A 32 year old man was detained for marijuana possession after a traffic stop on York Street. Additional fraud reports include loan misuse, theft of Social Security numbers, and phones ordered and shipped to New Jersey. A Beech Island man reported tax fraud and a woman reported cellphone fraud. A shoplift incident occurred at an automotive store on Jefferson Davis Highway.

Aiken Man Detained After Seizure Of Stolen Items
An Aiken man, Antonio Ladarrius Washington, 22, was detained after police found a stolen vehicle and several other stolen items at a gas station. He faced charges of possession of a stolen vehicle receiving stolen goods and giving false information to police and remained in the detention center. Officers recovered a Georgia Regents fuel card a Riverside Ambulance card Belicare fuel card an EBT card in his name and a GPS device. The stolen vehicle had been reported from Richmond County Georgia.
