Haley seeks federal disaster aid as winter storm grips South Carolina
Governor Nikki Haley asked President Obama to declare South Carolina a federal disaster area as a second winter storm hits the state with snow and ice. Power losses exceed 40,000 customers statewide and many trees and lines are down. FEMA support would cover 75 percent of costs for food and generators during the recovery.
