Susie Mae Nix Green 78 of Graniteville died Tuesday February 9 2010 born in Lumpkin County Georgia to Lee and Estell Davis. A Kroger deli clerk retired in 1975 from Atlanta to Aiken County she supported Christian Heritage Church and visiting Mattie C Hall Health Care Center. Survived by children Kenneth Tony Tom, siblings Dewey Edwards Opal Weaver, grandchildren Jennifer Michael Jodie Tommy Caleb and great grandchildren Sarah Monica Savana Alexis Courtney Jake. A life celebration is set for February 11 2010 at Hatcher Funeral Home with interment February 12 2010 Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Georgia. Memorials may aid a college fund for grandson Caleb.

Dick Scott longtime Aiken native dies at 90 in California
HUNTINGTON BEACH California former Aiken resident H C Dick Scott died February 3 2010 at his daughter's home. He was 90 and survived by his wife Elizabeth Lib Scott two children five grandchildren and siblings. He served in the Naval Air Corps in World War II flew off the USS Lexington and later helped with Mackey Scott and Sons. He donated his body to Anatomy Gifts Registry. No funeral services were held.
