Aiken County officials weigh renewing the 1 cent sales tax, with a county committee noting the tax is not new and that 35 percent of contributors live outside the county. The plan would fund road paving, equipment, and facility upgrades. the current round ends in 2012 and a 2011 ballot is possible.
