One Killed In Single Car Crash On Schley Street

A Sunday evening wreck on Schley Street near Howlandville Road killed one person and injured at least one more. The Isuzu Rodeo lay on its side against a live oak, windows broken, as GVW volunteers and Aiken County EMS worked the scene. An Augusta helicopter evacuated one occupant to a regional hospital while another was taken by ambulance to Avondale Mills parking lot. Authorities and bystanders noted speed on the 35 mph street. names were not released and the state patrol investigated.

Beaver Creek Indians Host Living History Day Event

Beaver Creek Indians and Civil War reenactors gathered for Living History Day to boost tribal participation in monthly meetings.
