US Postal Service Posts 1.3 Billion Loss in Quarter
The US Postal Service reported a 1.3 billion loss for the latest quarter despite strong holiday shipping and campaign advertising. It earned 17.7 billion in revenue against 18.9 billion in operating expenses, with first class mail down 4.5 percent and Standard mail up 3.6 percent amid election spending.
