Aiken man arrested after marijuana bags found in car
A 25 year old Aiken man Jerome Smith was arrested near Vaucluse Road and Church Street after police found three bags of leafy green substance and an electronic scale in his vehicle. He was charged with possession with intent to distribute resisting arrest and disregard of a stop sign. He also lacked a driver’s license and vehicle registration. Police pulled him over for a stop sign violation and odor of marijuana. A yellow toy bag held the substances and the scale. Smith allegedly ran when asked to surrender and was taken to the Aiken County detention center.

Speeding stop uncovers wine pills and drugs in vehicle
A Windsor woman and another female were arrested after a traffic stop on Interstate 20 near Mile Marker 13 revealed wine bottles, glass pipes, a vitamin bottle with a leafy substance, and an acetaminophen oxycodone pill. The Windsor woman also had a prescription bottle with marijuana inside. Local reports described multiple burglaries and assaults across Aiken County, including break-in attempts on Roundtree Road Beech Island and May Royal Drive, plus a domestic dispute on Brewster Way. Deputies assisted in a possible kidnapping case near Old 96 Indian Trail Batesburg, relocating a Myrtle Beach man to a hotel.
