Draft reprieve issued for over 11,000 inductees
Washington AP reports Selective Service Director Curtis Tarr ordered local boards to move more than 11,000 men with draft notices and 115,000 in the 1972 Extended Priority Selection Group to the Second Priority Selection Group. They will not be drafted unless a national emergency occurs. The affected were 1971 induction dates postponed to early 1972 or until further notice and those whose postponements end before April 1.

Nixon adviser rejects plan for 100000 public service jobs

New Pastor Begins Duty At St. Thaddeus Church
