State agents aid two teens found after kayak confusion

State agents and deputies with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office rescued an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old who got lost while kayaking at Aiken State Park on Sunday. They tracked the pair via cell phone, called for a helicopter, and after about three hours both were found and returned home.

Aiken Public Safety reports a grand larceny at a Gregg Avenue doctor's office where a shed with flooring wood and gardening tools was stolen. A vehicle then observed near the scene. Another car break in on Marion Street left a purse missing after a broken window. Former Video Warehouse windows on York Street broken. A 44 year old man was tasered after a disturbance at Days Inn on Richland Avenue and restrained by EMS. Two more car break ins on Medical Park Drive ended with shattered windows and purse theft. Fraud allegations involve bank account access and funds stolen.
