Pilot lands at wrong Augusta airfield in FAA transcript
An FAA spokesman said Piedmont Airlines pilot Capt. Steve McDowell mistook Bush Field for Daniel Field in Augusta. There was no air traffic controller on duty at Bush Field as the Boeing 737 landed on a 3,800 foot runway. McDowell was suspended without pay for 30 days.
