Miracle recovery after brutal plane propeller attack
Jim Boardman 30, son in law to Utah governor, survived an April 20 1981 attack at Burbank airport after a twin engine Cessna propeller slashed him. Doctors say 46 pints of blood and rapid transport by California paramedics saved him. he remained conscious despite massive injuries and work to regain quality of life continues.
