Evangelist Sauer jokes at Millbrook Baptist sermon

The sermon at Millbrook Baptist Church included light denominational humor as Evangelist Bill Sauer promised a shorter message to let the congregation reach the cafeteria before Presbyterians. A joke shared by a local Arkenite about a boy and his father centered on the child asking questions and the father replying I dont know. Randy Davidson offered a spicy take on romance comparing love to horseradish. A two year old receiving two pennies claimed she wanted dollars when offered money for good behavior.

Budget Out of Balance Reported in Aiken County

Aiken County Council chairman Carrol H. Warner states the county budget is not balanced based on two reports from Finance Director Frieda Walker and an independent auditor. The auditing firm’s report has not been released pending council review, with discussion at tonight’s 7 p.m. meeting at the council chambers.
