A tornado near Johnson’s Crossroads in New Ellenton injured a woman, Joyce Corbitt, and her two children. The mobile home occupants faced damages including a demolished home and roofs torn off. Corbitt may have a broken neck and was moved to Augusta hospital in fair condition. The funnel cloud touched down after a 5 pm storm as residents reported. doctors urged proper ambulance transport.
