Autopsy identifies Les Anthony Regan, 38, of Wagener as the gunshot victim. His brother Clarence D. Regan, 48, of the same address, is charged with murder after a Sunday dispute over a dog and a handgun was followed by a shooting witnessed by neighbors and police.
Silver Bluff High School students Ashlyn Dennis and Jana Chavous joined peers from public and private high schools at the Together Aiken County kickoff session to discuss education funding scholarships internships and smaller class sizes. They urged better city tax management more youth recreation and development on the north side of Aiken while stressing the need for after school hangouts to deter at risk youth. Retired teacher Sharon Johnson and ACP Planning & Visioning facilitator Jennifer Lindbom described youth engagement as empowering and essential to keeping young residents in the county as they emphasize a small town feel and local economic development.
