Budget outlines SRP and Savannah River projects
The budget allocates 1 1 billion for SRP programs including nuclear materials production restoral, waste handling upgrades, and a new defense waste facility to begin construction next year with hot operation planned for 1989. It also funds a second naval nuclear fuel processing plant in Irwin Tennessee and 51.5 million for Richard B Russell Dam and Lake.
