The death of 8 year old Jesse Clarence Wood in Lexington County was ruled an hunting accident after an earlier statement that Elliott Wood 16 and Scott Jeffcoat 15 were present. Jesse died from a shotgun blast to the head while the boys hunted on private property near Pelion. Jeffcoat fetched help. Jesse died about 1 p.m. The incident is under investigation but deemed accidental.
