First Day Hike at Redcliffe Plantation

Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site hosts a free one mile First Day Hike at 2 p.m. Friday. Centerra praised for 2015 security work at Savannah River Site

Centerra, the Savannah River Site security contractor, earned 4.3 million in award fees for fiscal year 2015, about 92 percent of the available total. DOE cited real world incidents including an August 17 lockdown after possible explosive materials were found on a vendor truck. The site was briefly shut down and barricades erected before an all clear. Centerra was commended for timely security measures and coordination with law enforcement, along with proactive responses and cost-saving efforts.
