Iran Contra prosecutor Lawrence Walsh says he wants to learn the facts behind disclosures that President Bush kept notes on the arms for hostages affair. The White House would not comment on whether Bush would consent to an interrogation.
The Associated Press reports that Italian Canadian and U S troops planned to seize the final two towns in Operation Restore Hope as Belet Huen and Gailalassi prepare for guard duty. Dozens of towns already secured, while aid agencies warn of famine and ongoing looting and violence near Mogadishu.
