Red Cross to Aid Bosnia Peacekeeping Mission
Local spokesman Mike Burkhart reports the American Red Cross will deploy to Bosnia with the U S military to support troops. The group has aided the region since 1991, feeding 59000 displaced people and supplying winter clothing for 200000 refugees in Croatia, while shipping 20000 comfort kits to Germany and establishing emergency communications for service members and families. Local SC Red Cross offices handle life and death messages for families.
