Handcrafted figures sell out at Aiken event amid rising demand
Wood carvers Rogers and his wife report a complete first day sell out at Aiken's Makin. They describe long waits to fill orders into February for hand carved, hand painted figures including angels, St. Francis, wizards, and new Wise Men. They plan more figures yearly and joined the Christmas Craft Show for the first time while balancing full time jobs.

Prankster Alters Detroit Mayor Elect Address Now Reversed
The Michigan Secretary of State will alter mail in change of address procedures after a prankster changed Kwame Kilpatrick's driver license and vehicle registration to a Southfield relative's address. Kilpatrick's team says the mayor elect did not request the switch. Authorities do not know the identity of the prankster. The change was corrected after the Detroit Free Press inquiry.
