Kiwanis hears Rev Dillon on Christmas traditions
The Rev. Edward J. Dillon spoke to the Kiwanis Club on the history of Christmas and its traditions. He argued Christmas celebrates Jesus birth rather than a pagan festival, tracing origins from early church to modern times and noting holiday changes through centuries. The club also recognized sponsors for a basketball tournament and presented funds to the Medical College of Georgia’s Children’s Medical Center.
