In Merrimack New Hampshire Harold Foote collects dusty surplus items from military auctions including a unused 1962 aircraft valve bought by Avco Lycoming. The Defense Logistics Agency oversees a vast stockpile and spends roughly 3.5 billion yearly while surplus dealers resell back to the military, creating a lucrative cycle Foote estimates his annual take around 100000.
