Louisiana man charged in North Augusta gun theft case

A Louisiana man, Jason Robert Hubler, 22 of Lake Charles, was charged with receiving stolen goods after two guns were taken from a Warrenville man's vehicle at a motel on Jefferson Davis Highway. Hubler was jailed in the Aiken County detention center as the investigation identified a third man who fled when police were called.

Aiken man jailed after woman thrown into ice chest

An Aiken man, Richard Marquell Simpkins Jr., 28, was jailed after he allegedly assaulted a woman in a York Street convenience store when she refused to pay for his beer. He was charged with disorderly conduct and later released from detention.

Note on Woman's Car Stalking Reported in Aiken

An Indiana woman reported stalking after finding a note reading I'm watching you on her car windshield at Aiken Mall. The 26 year old victim, visiting her mother, was away from her vehicle about 1:15 p.m. and reported the incident to the Aiken Department of Public Safety around 2:15 p.m.
