Local Christmas Parade honors diverse entrants and church floats
Parade entries spanned classic cars and school bands with top prizes for general, religious and commercial categories. CSRA square dance team impressed with attire. St James Lutheran Church won religious prize. El Paisano led commercial winners. Fire and rescue departments drew cheers as Benson thanked crews.

Missing New Ellenton woman remains unfound after search
Missing 86 year old Mary Alice Dixon was last seen March 20 wearing an orange shirt blue gray jacket and gray sweat pants. Volunteers from around the state joined the search but no trace has been found. Dixon is described as black with brown eyes gray hair about 5 foot 5 and 105 pounds. Anyone with information should contact the New Ellenton Police at 652-7770 or the sheriff’s office at 800.

Parkinsons Support Group meets Tuesday evening in Aiken
