Family mourns after murder suicide at Medlock home

In Warrenville the Medlock family is stunned after Charles Andrew Medlock killed his daughter Kimberly 16 then shot himself over a cell phone dispute. Kimberly died Monday at the Medical College of Georgia. Funeral set for Thursday at Christian Heritage Church with Medlock noted as choir member and deacon.

Aiken OKs ordinance regulating adult entertainment

The Aiken City Council unanimously approved an ordinance regulating adult entertainment licensing in conjunction with the zoning plan adopted November 22. It sets a $100 initial and renewal licensing fee, requires owner details, keeps an employee registry, imposes fines of 500 dollars or 30 days jail per violation, and declares violations as public nuisances. The measure designates Al Cothran as Adult Use Commissioner and takes effect January 1 2000.
